The role of the Lincoln College MCR Charities Representative is to manage the MCR’s charitable donations. Lincoln MCR has a very successful history in charitable activities including donating both money and goods to local, national and international charities. The charities are proposed and selected by MCR members through a vote once the Charity Rep is elected in Michaelmas term.
In 2021/22, our charitable donations went to a local food bank named Oxford Mutual Aid, to the British Red Cross campaign for Ukraine support and in a large contribution of much needed medical and food goods to an Oxford student-led Ukraine drive. In past years, with the help of MCR volunteers there have also been social events such as a Casino Night and a Promise Auction. In addition, there have been smaller initiatives such as clothes collections. New ideas for fundraising ideas are always welcome and supported by the MCR! |
