Dear sparkling MCR,
Having sparkler-ed, ooh-ed and ahh-ed with the chilliest of them last night, we're ready for a warm week of mediterranean feasting, swing dancing, and book clubbing.

Those who have been lucky enough to secure a place on the Worcester exchange have been notified and we will see you tomorrow evening at 6.45pm in the MCR. Dress code is formal with gowns.
- Swing Dance Night, Tuesday 8th November, 8pm, MCR
"Care to dance?" If you are looking to unwind in the middle of term, learn to dance with someone and looking to party like its 1936, come out to the MCR for some swing dancing! Beginners windy hop lesson offered from 8-9pm followed by social dancing afterwards. No need experience or partner require. Just show up and have a great time! Looking for some inspiration, take a look here.
- MCR Dinner, Thursday 10th November, 7pm, MCR
Those of you with a spot at the dinner have been notified. We will meet as usual in the MCR for pre-drinks and then head up to enjoy an oriental feast! See you there!
- Book Club Meeting "The library of Babel", Sunday 13th November (week 6), 8pm MCR
The Book Club theme for this year will be a short story from every continent...
For our inaugural meeting, we'll read Jorge Luis Borges' "The Library of Babel" ("La biblioteca de Babel", from the collection The Garden of Forking Paths).
In the club, we'll read aloud an extract from the short story then discuss it together. So between now and then, take a look at the short story and get in touch with us if you fancy reading some of it aloud at the group!
- MCR Lunch *Sign Up*, Tuesday 15th November (week 6), 12.55pm, Hall
The next MCR lunch is ready for sign ups! Click here to join us for a sumptuous 2 course lunch served at high table. No gowns needed, just take your seat at 12:55 and enjoy!
Let's beat those 5th week blues together!
