We're here for you.
At Lincoln, we're committed to student welfare and provide a variety of resources for our graduate students.
In addition to the senior Welfare team composed of the Senior Dean and Chaplain, at Lincoln, our welfare resources extend to your fellow Peer Supporters.
As a Peer Supporter, students have attended 30+ hours of training by the university counselling service, and are able to meet with anyone in the MCR who feels they have concerns or worries that they’d like to chat about. While they give advice, they can listen and ask questions in order to help you clarify and talk through your worries. They can also suggest other sources of support that you might like to access, for example: the chaplain, the college doctors/nurses, the university counselling service, helplines like Nightline, or various support groups that are held around the university (see below). If you choose to contact them, anything you say will be treated as confidential.
Please find our Peer Supporter here.
Welfare also provides sexual health resources such as condoms, dental dams, pregnancy tests, tampons, and attack alarms that are available in boxes in the laundry rooms of our graduate residences and can also be discreetly pidged to you if you contact any one of the current Committee Officers (President, Treasurer, Secretary, Welfare Officer, or Social Secs)
