Charities Team
Amber Erwin
Hello! My name is Amber, and I am studying for my MSc in Criminology. I joined the Charities Team because I wanted an opportunity to be more involved with our college and MCR, and wanted to give back to the country that is my wonderful new home for this year. What better way to do these things than work with a lovely group of Lincolnites, organizing fun events for the MCR that support local and global charities? I am super excited to be a part of the Charities Team, and cannot wait to see you all at the awesome charities events planned for this year!

Ruby MittalHello everyone! My name is Ruby Mittal and I am studying MSc in Economics for Development. It is my first time to Oxford, to UK and to Europe as well. However, I felt extremely happy to have someone to help me with . As a member of Charities Team at Lincoln, I will put in my best efforts to help those in need by organising event like "Casino Night" and "Charity Auction" and raise funds.

"Doing a little something for others has always been a rewarding experience for me. It's uplifting to think that we have the power to make someone's day just a little bit better by contributing to their lives in a meaningful and positive way and thats really the reason I joined the Charities Team. I have been enormously fortunate to be provided with the opportunities I have had and it's important for me to keep the cycle going, to give back and to bring a little bit of light and love to the lives of others. I truly believe that through small acts of kindness, we learn to get in touch with our core being; the nucleus that remains when all else is muddled; the kind and soft spot that exists within us all (way deep down for some people!) so it's more or less a journey toward self discovery!"

"Hello! My name is Kate and I'm doing a MSt in British and European History. As part of the Charities Team I will be helping out Beatrice in organising the Casino Night and Charities Auction, as well as in getting the MCR more involved in volunteering in charities local to Oxford. I'm looking forward to getting stuck in with MCR fundraising, event-organising and contributing back to both the Oxford and wider community."

Hello! My legal name is Wai Siong, but you can call me Audrey. I'm from the tropical country of Malaysia, so the British weather is just doing wonders to me. I'm a Chevening scholar doing an MSc in Migration Studies. I joined the Charities Team because I want to serve. I come from a Social Work background, and love to continue having that aspect of my life here at Lincoln. I hope to meet you all my fellow Lincolnites!

I’m a doctor back in South Africa, but currently doing an MSc in International Health and Tropical Medicine. I’ve been involved with cool charities from chugging on the streets of England as a hippie 18 year old, to helping run a student clinic for the homeless in Johannesburg’s city centre. Looking forward to helping raise cash for some worthy charities and getting people involved volunteering for some good causes!
