We're here for you.
Hi! I'm Shazeaa, your MCR Welfare Officer. I am here to support members of the MCR with any welfare concerns they may have, to represent you guys in meetings with college staff, to organise fun welfare events, and to provide sexual health supplies.
As Welfare Officer I am also a trained Peer Supporter – this means I've attended 30+ hours of training by the university counselling service, and am able to meet with anyone in the MCR who feels they have concerns or worries that they’d like to chat about. I can't give advice, but I can listen and ask questions in order to help you clarify and talk through your worries. I can also suggest other sources of support that you might like to access, for example: the chaplain, the college doctors/nurses, the university counselling service, helplines like Nightline, or various support groups that are held around the university. If you choose to contact me, anything you say will be treated as confidential.

We also have five other trained Peer Supporters in the MCR, and you can contact any one of us. Your other Peer Supporters are: Leandra Bias (leandra.bias@lincoln.ox.ac.uk), Josh Thomas (joshua.thomas@lincoln.ox.ac.uk) Ferdinando Randisi (ferdinando.randisi@dtc.ox.ac.uk), Annina Graedel (annina.graedel@lincoln.ox.ac.uk) and Elise Maes (elise.maes@lincoln.ox.ac.uk)
Graduate life has its ups and downs, and its not uncommon for people to feel stressed, anxious, sad or lonely. Please do not hesitate to get in touch with any of us if you have any questions or if you simply fancy coffee and a chat.
