*** Fourth Week Welfare Notices ***
Welcome to fourth week. We're reaching the half way point of Hilary Term, and what better way to celebrate than with an afternoon of chilled Arts and Crafts this weekend?! In addition to crafts, this email also provides the usual references to cake, cardio and condoms. Enjoy!
2. Welfare Arts and Crafts Workshop , in the MCR (cost: £3)
This Sunday join us in the MCR for crafternoon! You can try your hand at ceramic painting, watercolour painting, and a variety of simple sewing projects. Everything is suitable for beginners - no experience necessary! Please let us know if you plan to attend (click here), and please bring £3 which will contribute to the cost of equipment and materials.

4. Welfare Run, , at the Lodge
Put on a jumper and come along for this week’s welfare run. We will meet at the lodge and head up to the university park and beyond. All abilities are welcome!
6. Save the date - 23rd Feb, Body Image Documentary, 8pm, MCR
Activist and motivational speaker Taryn Brumfitt is founder of the Body Image Movement which seeks to promote body positivity amongst women and girls. On Thursday 23rd February we will be screening her documentary film, EMBRACE, which follows Taryn’s crusade as she explores the global issue of body loathing, inspiring us to change the way we feel about ourselves and think about our bodies. The event will take place in the MCR at 8pm - so save the date! Everyone is welcome, this isn't just for women :)
7. Peer Supporters
Just a reminder that Lincoln has a number of trained peer supporters, who are able to meet with you to discuss in confidence any worries or concerns that you may have. Their names are: Elise Maes, Annina Graedel, Holly Hathrell, Laura Johnson, and Ferdinando Randisi. Their contact details are provided in the attached poster. You can also speak to either of us (Rose and Jochen!), to the college doctor, or to Mel the chaplain.
8. 'It Gets Brighter' project
'It Gets Brighter' collects and features short video messages of hope from those living with a mental health issue, and those who support them. You can watch some of the videos online at www.itgetsbrighter.org or if you're interested in recording your own, have a look at this Facebook event.
That's all from us for now. We wish you a wonderful week,
Rose and Jochen
P.S.: Super quick and ludicrously delicious. Treat yourself with my personal favourite pasta of the week: http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/1163633/puttanesca-pasta
